BIOGRAPHY

Jeremy Sloan has been blessed to work in such a vibrant community in Oregon for over 15 years! Jeremy received his Bachelor of Arts in Music and Theater from Portland State University where he also studied and performed with Bel Canto North West Summer Program.

Jeremy has worked with a multitude of theater companies in Oregon. He performed the role of Frankie in Plaid Tidings, Prince Charming in Snow White, George in My Fair Lady, Prince Tom in Rumpelstiltskin, Feuilly in Les Miserables, The Production Tenor and 1st Assistant in Singin' in the Rain! with Broadway Rose Theater Company, Mercedes Benz in La Cage Aux Folles with Pixie Dust productions, Hannah from Hamburg in La Cage Aux Folles, Mike in White Christmas, Jimmy Powers in City of Angels, Lt. Ian Shaw in The Secret Garden, Yussel in Fiddler on the Roof , Brother Joshua in Carousel, Fred in Oklahoma! with Lakewood Performing Arts Center, Billy Dean/Virgil in the Portland premiere of Violet the musical with Staged!, The Pharaoh in Aida, Rex deHavilland in Club Morrocco with Stumptown Stages,Mr. Erlanson in A Little Night Music with Mock's Crest Productions, Charlie Brown in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown with St. John's North End Players, and Officer Gilroy Gildersleeve in Miracle on 43rd Street with Bag&Baggage Productions.

Jeremy is also a lover of dance. You can see his face plastered on posters with NW Dance Project where he takes lessons from Tracy Durbin and Franco Nieto.

As a soloist, he has sung Handel’s Messiah, Pergolesi’s Magnificat with players from the Portland Baroque Orchestra, Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb, Counter-Tenor soloist in Berstein's Chichester Psalms and as a featured soloist with Portland State University Chamber Choir while competing in Marktoberdorf, Germany. Jeremy was the Tenor section leader at Trinity Episcopal Church from 2000-2001 and the Tenor Soloist and Section Leader at First Unitarian Church from 2005-2011.

Jeremy's musical directing debut was at Blanchet High School for The Secret Garden and The Wizard of Oz. He was the musical director for The Mikado with Pentacle Theater and Vocal Coach for Rejected No More with Trueheart Productions. Summer 2014 he taught at Inspirations Musical Camp with Portland Waldorf School.

Jeremy made his Portland directing debut with the short play Naomi in the Living Room by Christopher Durang at Portland State University in 2010.
